ABOUT THE JOB

As the Senior Product Manager for Emerging Products you will work with a unique entrepreneurial team in a fast growing environment and lead these initiatives from inception to a new business line for Instacart. You'll work among star engineers, designers, user researchers, data scientists and more. The role demands a mix of principled thinking, well-honed product sense, and technical depth.

  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineering, design, research, data science, operations, marketing, local markets, and more.
  • You'll drive product definition, strategy, and long term vision for initiatives across audiences of our 4-sided marketplace, connecting customers, shoppers, retailers, and advertisers
  • Identify the biggest problems to solve. Drive new feature development from start to finish
  • Run user research, usability studies, data-driven experiments to inform product direction
  • Build, measure, and iterate rapidly
  • Consistently integrate behavior data and customer feedback into key product decisions
  • Communicate product plans, benefits and results to all audiences - within teams, company, to users, press etc.

ABOUT YOU

  • A minimum of 5+ years in Product Management at a technology company
  • Proven experience in launching high scale product solutions from inception, including experience in business planning, strategy and operations.
  • Strong experience in building cross-platform/multi-platform experiences (Mobile, Desktop, Mobile Web) and optimizing those experiences for Growth
  • Superior data and analytical skills including the ability to define and decompose relevant metrics and to directly perform data analysis in SQL or similar
  • Appreciation and understanding of consumer psychology and its impact on new product adoption
  • Deep intuition and strong passion for developing great user experiences
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without authority, working with technical and cross-functional teams who do not report into this role to get things done. Strong interpersonal skills, personable yet persistent
  • Startup/early stage consumer-facing experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree, ideally in a technical or quantitative discipline. MBA a plus
